What we collect

Enquiry form: your name, email address, which classes you are asking about, and your message.

Class bookings: student name, date of birth or age group, parent or guardian name and contact details, emergency contact, and any medical or access information you choose to give us.

Payments: taken by our payment provider. We receive a record that a payment succeeded and the amount. We do not see or store card numbers.

Photography and video: only where written permission has been given, and separately for anyone under 18.

03

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, to place a student in the right class, to contact you about the class you have booked, to keep a register and meet the safety requirements of the venues we hire, to enter students for CFA or ISTD examinations where you have asked us to, and to keep the accounting records the law requires.

Our lawful bases are performance of a contract (your booking), legitimate interests (answering enquiries and running classes safely), consent (photography, marketing email) and legal obligation (accounting and safeguarding records).

04

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings: [12] months.

Class and student records: for the duration of attendance and [3] years afterwards, so that examination entries and attendance can be confirmed.

Accounting records: six years, as required by law.

Safeguarding records: [retention period] in line with our safeguarding policy.

Photographs held under permission: until permission is withdrawn or [3] years, whichever is sooner.

05

Who we share it with

The Chinese Folk Dance Association and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, where a student is entered for an examination — name and grade only.

Venues we hire, where they require a register of attendees for fire safety.

Our booking platform, payment provider, email provider and accountant, acting on our instructions.

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising.

06

Cookies

This site uses the cookies needed to make it work and to remember your booking session. These are always on.

With your permission, we also use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are and what device they use. Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, which last up to two years. They are only set if you choose Accept on the cookie banner, and the site works the same if you choose Reject.

You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Choosing Reject later removes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. Google processes this data for us under its data processing terms; see Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
