Terms and Conditions

  1. Booking, attendance and absence 
    1. Bookings are confirmed only when all payments are completed. A confirmation email will be sent to applicants.
    2. UKCPA reserves the right to cancel any class listed in our class schedule if enrollment is inadequate. 
    3. If a class is canceled due to the sickness of the teacher, a health epidemic or any other unforeseen event, then we will try to reschedule the class. This may be on a different day and time from when originally scheduled, and might involve an extension to the term time dates. No refunds will be given in this case. 
    4. If the studio classes are suspended due to COVID-19 in accordance with British government guidelines during the term, the classes will be transferred to online classes. Or you can request a refund with a cancellation fee at 10% of the booking value.
    5. Prior to booking for the trial class, please contact us to check availability of places (Email: info@ukchinaperformingarts.com).
    6. Trials are available only to new users that have never had this class before. One trial is permitted per person, unless agreed otherwise. 
    7. UKCPA reserves the right to determine your eligibility for a trial class. If in our discretion we believe you are not eligible for a Trial, we reserve the right to prevent you from signing up for a Trial or to terminate your promotional subscription.
    8. In the event of absence for any personal reasons including injury or illness, missed classes are neither transferable nor refundable.
  2. Fees, discount and refunds 
    1. All fees are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) and are published on the UK China Performing Arts (UKCPA) website.
    2. Once enrolled or attending class after a trial session, the full term’s fees must be paid through our website or bank transfer. For bank transfers please use full name as a reference.
    3. Fees will only be pro rata when a student starts a studio class after a term has begun, whereas online classes do not apply.  
    4. To qualify for discounts, registration must be completed in one transaction.
    5. UKCPA reserves the right to change and expire all discounts.
    6. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance.
    7. Refunds can only be requested up until 48 hours before the first class of the term.
  1. Cancellation policy
    1. Trial classes can be canceled at least 24 hours prior to the class. Failure to attend trial class without notice will result in disqualification of application for further trial classes. 
  2. Permissions (Medical, photo and video recording ) 
    1. UK China Performing Arts reserves the right for the School or third parties to carry out general filming, photography and sound recording during classes.
    2. By booking an event, course, programme, or attending an audition, the participant or parent (for any students under 18) consents to be photographed or sound recorded and to the commercial exploitation of such filming or recording without any right to payment.
    3. The online class recordings are allowed to be used for revision purposes only, the videos are not allowed to be published by UKCPA users unless given written permission from UKCPA prior to posting online.  
    4. Medical: Parents are required to give permission (for any students under 18) for an authorised UKCPA First aider to give any immediate and/or necessary first aid treatment. This includes any emergency medical treatment recommended by competent authorities including emergency medical staff. Parents/Guardians are able to opt out of this during online application.
    5. All class review videos are available to access within 6 months from the first date of each course. 
    6. The use of cameras, tape recorders or any other electronic or digital recording, sound recording, photographing or imaging devices is not allowed during our classes.
  3. Health and Safety
    1. Students in all physical activity (workshops and classes) are at your own risk; UK China Performing Arts cannot be held responsible for any injuries or loss or damage to your person or property.
    2. Students are responsible to inform UKCPA of any illnesses or injuries that may arise during class or are pre-existing.
    3. Participants should consider whether they need insurance coverage in case of injury during the class.
    4. Physical contact may be necessary by members of the teaching faculty. If you have any concerns regarding this matter, please contact the Dance School Manager. 
  4. Code of Conduct 
    1. A Code of Conduct will be issued to students and parents/guardians. Failure to observe this may result in students being asked to leave. UKCPA reserves the right to refuse any student prior to or after enrolment. No refund will be given if the Code of Conduct has been invoked. Data Protection Statement
  5. Copyrights
    1. Copyright in this Site and all materials included in it is owned by or licensed to UKCPA, and all rights are reserved.
    2. The Copyrights of all dance works in the class belong to UKCPA.
    3. Students have the right to use the dance work for non-commercial purposes, and the Copyright (choreographer and guidance) should be cited to UKCPA.
  6. Data Protection 
    1. UK China Performing Arts Ltd is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We only use personal information if we have an appropriate reason (lawful basis) to do so and this includes sharing information outside UKCPA. 
    2. We review how long we keep personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfill our statutory obligations. We hold your personal information on our systems for only as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as it is set out in any relevant contract or agreement you hold with us.
    3. Please be reassured that we will not release your information to other organisations unless in exceptional cases when we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime. In all other instances we would only share your information with another party, if you have given your explicit permission to do so.
  7. Changes to the terms and conditions 
    1. UKCPA reserves the right to amend or revise these Terms at any time without notice. Any changes to the terms apply with immediate effect from the date of publication on our website. By continuing to use this website after any changes are made you accept those changes and they are binding on you.
  8. Agreement to the terms and conditions 
    1. Customers (parents, guardians and students) are required to acknowledge their acceptance of the terms and conditions for each student enrolled by checking the relevant box during online application. 
    2. The terms and conditions must be accepted in order to enroll in classes at UKCPA Dance Academy. Applications cannot be submitted until the acceptance box has been checked.
    3. UKCPA reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms and Conditions.
